This one is
truly mysterious.
Post hoc
analysis shows that (for my suburb in Sydney at least)
the probabilities
simply don't add up! I think it's because the
chance of rain probability rating (i.e. 10% here) is the chance of rain occurring anywhere in Sydney. But rain in Sydney is, predominantly, in the form of scattered showers. Oh dear, I''l have to perform a more detailed analysis to find out why the BOM rain forecasts seem more pessimistic than experience suggests... |
